Osceola County to move forward on new agreement with Avatar to build Poinciana Parkway

At the meeting Jan 23 the Osceola County Commission instructed the County Manager to proceed to finalized the agreement with Avatar so that it may be signed and executed Feb 6. The agreement calls for Poinciana Parkway to be built as an Osceola County owned toll road starting no later than Feb 2013 and completing no later than May 2015. The financing details need to be finalized as part of a public/private partnership which is specified in the agreement. This road will be constructed in such a manner that it will become the first segment of a planned Osceola County Expressway system that will run from the new Medical City complex in Northeast Osceola County South to the Turnpike connecting to Poinciana along the Southern part of Lake ToHo and then running North from Poinciana to connect with I4 near Disney.
