Poinciana Residents for Smart Change

Poinciana Parkway Marigold Avenue North
Marigold Avenue, North of Cypress Parkway provides the primary way in or out for the majority of Poinciana residents who purchased homes in Villages 1 and 2.
Today it exists as mostly a two lane road extending 4 miles North of Cypress Parkway dead ending at the start of the Reedy Creek Wetlands. The Poinciana Parkway project will expand Marigold to 4 lanes and connect it with the Reedy Creek Bridge and Kinney Harmon Rd to the North.
Marigold today sees traffic of 19,000+ cars per day. This traffic volume gives it an F level of service rating (LOL) which should place it at the top priority of Osceola Road Improvement projects regardless of whether the bridge crossing Reedy Creek gets built.
Marigold Ave improvements will be the responsibility of Osceola County
