Transportation issues are of major concern to the residents of Poinciana. The road congestion between Poinciana and the Orlando Metropolitan area will restict the growth of Poinciana until the issues can be resolved.
Simply put, too many houses we allowed to be built in Poinciana without providing the transportation infrastructure to support the residents.
Several of the transportation proposals are decribed below.
All of these projects will cost money.
Poinciana has received a great deal of attention from both counties in the past few year in the area of road maintenance.
Osceola County is responsible for maintaining 125 miles of roads in Poinciana while Polk is responsible for maintaining 137 miles of roads.
