Osceola County Commissioner Brandon Arrington Elected
Vice-Chair of the 2012 Central Florida Commuter Rail Commission

Osceola County, Florida - Osceola County Commissioner Brandon Arrington was elected Vice-Chairman of the Central Florida Commuter Rail Commission Governing Board at its January 27 th meeting.  The meeting, which was the first of the new year, immediately followed the historic groundbreaking on SunRail Phase 1 at the home of the future Altamonte Springs station.

"This was a great day for Central Florida and Osceola County.   Commuter Rail has been talked about and planned for almost 30 years," said Arrington of the event.  "I look forward to making this project a success and continuing to work with DOT to bring the Kissimmee station online early by including it in phase one."

The Central Florida Commuter Rail Commission Governing Board was established on August 29, 2007, to assist the Florida Department of Transportation with policy direction during the planning, design, construction and first seven years of operation for the SunRail system. The Governing Board consists of five members - one each from Volusia, Seminole, Orange and Osceola counties, as well as the City of Orlando.
